Havdalah Thoughts

The stars are out, Shabbat has passed by with only the beautiful mitzvah of Havdalah left to be performed. It is a meaningful service that with some reflection can be used to awaken in us the great joy that comes from perceiving how Hashem makes distinctions in the world He created and our role we play in it. It is the border in time between the great holiness of Shabbat and the mundane, challenging us to draw from its spiritual wellsprings and spread its values into the coming week.
